Getting to grips with adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers from a 3 digit number.
In Maths, we have been learning about repeating patterns. We chose two or three different coloured bears and made a pattern that keeps repeating!
We have been reading the story of ‘Little Red Hen’ and wanted to make our own bread. We weighed out the ingredients, mixed them together and kneaded our dough. We then each made a cottage roll and put it into the oven to bake. The smell was amazing! We took them home to share with […]
In Welly Wednesday, we had to find as many leaves as we could and decide on what we wanted to make – a leaf necklace, bracelet or crown. Then we had to hole punch holes in the leaves and with an adult’s help, thread the leaves onto the string. We really enjoyed it!
Year 4 have really enjoyed reading with our reading army and we would all like to say a big thank you for their continued support. It is invaluable to our learning!
Year 5 and 6 took part in a very informative careers morning today. They asked a range of adults great questions about their careers and professions. They were really inspired by their visitors.
We are enjoying our new book called the Tear Thief. In VIPER’s session, we explored the story and made predictions and used our inference skills.
Year 5 started their mini medic training today. What a fantastic skills based experience to have. They looked at what should be in a first aid kit, DR ABC, using a defibrillator, the recovery position, choking, asthma, wounds and bleeding, cuts and calling for an ambulance. Thanks to Rob from RJM Adventure for the sessions.
We have been looking at all things related to the heart, both physically and emotionally. Year 6 have written some amazing heart poems!
